Kỳ thực tập: Cơ hội vàng để học hỏi

Kỳ thực tập 2 tháng của em đã chính thức kết thúc đan xen với những kỷ niệm khó quên. Không thể nào diễn tả được bằng lời cảm xúc biết ơn và vui mừng của em khi nhận được lời đề nghị thực tập tại công ty SportyMind Việt Nam. Mặc cho công việc thực tập có phần khó khăn hơn em tưởng, nhưng với sự trợ giúp từ các đồng nghiệp và người hướng dẫn em đã hoàn thành những nhiệm vụ được giao. Hơn nữa em cũng tích lũy cho bản thân mình thêm nhiều kinh nghiệm và kiến thức.

Chúng em ban đầu được giao nhiệm vụ dịch một cuốn sách từ tiếng Anh sang tiếng Việt. Theo như anh giám đốc của công ty SportyMind, chúng em là một trong những người đầu tiên dịch về mảng này, đây là một chủ đề chưa phổ biến rộng rãi - cá cược. Nhóm em cảm thấy khá áp lực bởi vì chúng em trước đây chưa bao giờ đọc hay học về chủ đề này. Ban đầu em nhận thấy chủ đề này khá khó và thử thách đối với một thực tập sinh. Nhưng em xem đây là một cơ hội tuyệt vời để học hỏi dịch những chủ đề khác nhau. Càng đọc nhiều em lại càng tìm thấy nhiều thuật ngữ mới mà em chưa được học. Đa phần những thuật ngữ này không được dịch sang tiếng Việt, vậy nên chúng em phải cùng nhau nghĩ ra một định nghĩa phù hợp dựa trên nghĩa tiếng Anh của những thuật ngữ đó. Những lúc chúng em gặp khó khan và không biết phải giải nghĩa từ hay thuật ngữ đó như thế nào, thì thầy Tín người hướng dẫn tụi em trong kỳ thực tập này luôn sẵn sàng giúp đỡ. Mỗi tuần thầy thường ghé văn phòng ít nhất một lần để giúp chúng e làm rõ những thuật ngữ cũng như góp ý cho bản dịch của chúng em.

Trong suốt quá trình thực tập em nhận thầy rằng để trở thành một dịch giả không chỉ đòi hỏi phải có kiến thức nền vững mà còn phải có khả năng chọn lọc khi đọc. Thêm nữa,phải rất kiên nhẫn, chúng em dành rất nhiều thời gian để tìm thông tin và dữ liệu cần thiết. Em muốn cảm ơn các đồng nghiệp, các bạn rất nhiệt tình và quyết tâm. Em chắc sẽ không hoàn thành tốt kỳ thực tập này nếu không có sự giúp đỡ từ các bạn. Điều đáng nhớ nhất đối với em, chắc chắn là khi được làm việc tại nhà trong hai tuần cuối do sự ảnh hưởng của dịch Corona. Chúng em tổ chức họp mặt trực tuyến vào mỗi ngày và đảm bảo hoàn thành đúng tiến độ công việc. Cuối cùng chúng em cũng đã hoàn thành công việc một cách hiệu quả và kết thúc kỳ thực tập kéo dài hai tháng. Những kinh nghiệm em học được trong kỳ thực tập này chắc chắn sẽ giúp ích cho sự nghiệp dịch thuật của em trong tương lai.
