The course is designed for English major students in order to achieve reading ability at the elementary level (B1+). Specifically, the course helps students develop reading skills such as reading for main ideas, reading for detail information, distinguishing topic and key words, critical thinking skills, guessing meanings of words in context, and word analysis. In addition, the course offers students a chance to practise standardized PET exam  become familiar with the self-study and standardized PET exam format and provides important reading strategies and skills in preparation for FCE exam.
