Overview

This course is designed to provide students with talks and lectures about academic and social and natural science topics, and opportunities to discuss/debate follow-up issues. Simultaneously, they can sharpen their critical thinking skills which help them to reason, analyze, synthesize, evaluate, debate, and solve problems. Besides, they have a chance to widen their knowledge of advanced vocabulary, pronunciation, and functional language, which can be used to enhance their English accuracy and fluency in group discussions, debates, informative presentations, proposal presentations, persuasive presentations, negotiations, and conflict management. The course also helps improve such important study skills as working in groups, note-taking, and comprehending long lectures, as well as test-taking skills.
