The spread of the COVID-19 disease has created a number of educational difficulties for both students and teachers. It cannot, however, hinder the Faculty of Foreign Languages, University of Technology and Education, from aiding our students in gaining access to a high-quality academic environment. Our faculty was honored to be awarded the project of Virtual English Language Fellow by the Regional English Language Office (RELO), US Embassy in Vietnam in early 2021 as a result of their persistent efforts.

Established in 2006 with the first program in TESOL Studies, Faculty of Foreign Languages (FFL) continued with its Translation and Interpretation program in 2018. FFL has significantly made constant development and achievements in training and research for years. The Faculty is proud to be the first unit in Ho Chi Minh City and across the country to have its teaching and learning facilities fully equipped.

“In theory, there is no difference between practice and theory. In practice, there is.” - Jan L. A. van de Snepscheut. We understood that in order to learn something, or get better at it, we need to practice many times. Especially, to be a successful future teacher, practice and experience are the most important. Fortunately, I had a chance to widen my perspectives on a field trip to UK English Center.

My name is Vy Thi Hoang Anh, one of the HCMUTE’s FFL alumni, cohort 2006. Currently, I’m working as a Marketing Supervisor for Yara Vietnam Company Ltd.,  a Norway headquartered corporation leading Europe in the field of agriculture and fertilizers.
