Overview
Interpretation 2 course is designed for third-year students in the second semester of Bachelor of English Technical Interpretation/Translation at HCMUTE. Students have an opportunity to master and practice some basic interpreting skills such as understanding, writing, text summarizing, note-taking, memorizing, public speaking, problem-solving and English-Vietnamese improving. Students can be trained by Eng-Viet and Viet-Eng interpreting practices and assignments in class and at home. Those practices are in the length of 2-3 mins with various topics (short lessons, travelling topic-based speeches and talks) in the purpose of helping students develop their appropriate attitudes selectively and constructively towards the academic and economic-social values. In addition, through this course, students, as a(n) interpreter/translator, can raise their awareness of cultural differences, career morality and professional manners.
