Overview

This ESP course is to enable students to widen their knowledge and improve their communication skills in the field of environmental technology. The course provides a variety of learning activities and facilitates different learning strategies to help students achieve the goals. Particularly, students are exposed to authentic texts and oral language in technical situations relevant to environmental science, atmosphere, ecosystem, water pollution, noise pollution, air pollution and solid waste. Specific reading skills to be nurtured include dealing with technical texts and reading diagrams. Lifelong learning skills are promoted throughout classroom activities.

Goals Goal description
G1 erminology and general knowledge of Environmental Engineering such as biosphere, ecology, atmosphere, pollution and pollution management, solid waste and solid waste management.
G2 Ability to analyze and explain some phenomena in the environment, such as: ozone depletion, acid rain, greenhouse effect and pollution management process.
G3 Team-work and communication skills, and ability to comprehend Environmental document written in English.
G4 Ability to search, collect, analyze and summarize Environmental document written in English; ability to present different topics in Environmental Technology

Translate document about Environmental Technology at basic level.
