I. LEARNING OUTCOMES

1. Understanding foundational knowledge of social sciences, natural sciences, and systematic knowledge in Technical English Translation and Interpretation

  • Presenting basic knowledge of political theories, law, and natural sciences relevant to Technical English Translation and Interpretation.
  • Describing the core knowledge of English studies and Technical English Translation and Interpretation, as well as basic characteristics of British-American, Southeast Asian cultures, literature, and intercultural communication.

2. Applying new knowledge based on analytical skills and critical thinking

  • Applying English language skills, as well as appropriate methods, techniques, and strategies for English-Vietnamese and Vietnamese-English translation and interpretation.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and refining information effectively, and applying new knowledge to the practice of English translation and interpretation.

3. Developing effective communication and teamwork skills within and beyond professional contexts

  • Demonstrating effective communication skills and professional behavior to work efficiently in and beyond professional contexts.
  • Developing teamwork and presentation skills to perform effectively in multicultural work environments.

4. Forming ideas, designing, and applying knowledge and technology in Technical English Translation and Interpretation

  • Developing ideas and designing processes for translation, editing, proofreading, and evaluating translation products.
  • Organizing and implementing effective processes for translation, editing, and product evaluation.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of technology and applying it appropriately in Technical English Translation and Interpretation.

III. GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Completing 132 credits, including compulsory and elective courses.
  • Achieving a minimum level of English language proficiency equivalent to C1 of CEFR.
  • Fulfilling National Defense Education requirements.
  • Meeting the required scores for Community and Social Work.
  • Completing all tuition fees.
