Mentoring is always one of the most important aspect of teacher education. This issue is also our great concern as part of our EFL teachers training program. It was our great pleasure to welcome Dr. Hoa Nguyen, a TESOL lecturer from School of Education, University of New South Wales, Australia to our faculty on February 20th 2017. Dr Hoa Nguyen was talking about different peer mentoring models in teacher education and teacher professional development. She also shared her expertise and experience gained from both contexts of Vietnam and Australia. The talk facilitated a lot of discussions on the effectiveness of each mentoring model, the employment of evaluation in particular contexts, and possibilities for further research.

Taking part in the seminar are over 25  lecturers, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students from different institutions of Ho Chi Minh City, including HCMC University of Science, HCMC Open University, HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and HCMC University of Technology and Education. It was a great opportunity for the participants to share their experience on the issue and learn from one another.
