We extend our formal invitation to you to participate in the esteemed 'Tet Talk: A Writing Contest' organized by the Foreign Language Department (FFL). With the arrival of spring and the imminent celebration of Tet, we invite you to share your remarkable Tet experiences through the art of writing.
PURPOSE OF THE CONTEST
The purpose of this contest is to provide FFL students with a platform to showcase their writing skills and express their personal experience during the Tet festivities. We encourage you to captivate the readers with your stories, embodying the essence of Tet in your hometown or with your family.
BENEFITS AND PRIZES
By participating in the 'Tet Talk: A Writing Contest,' you stand a chance to not only enhance your writing abilities but also earn additional training points. Furthermore, valuable prizes will be awarded to the winners, along with a certificate of achievement.
The prizes for this contest are as follows:
- 1 First Prize: 500,000 VND
- 1 Second Prize: 300,000 VND
- 1 Third Prize: 200,000 VND
- 5 Consolation Prizes: 100,000 VND each
CONTEST DATES AND PARTICIPANT GUIDELINES
The contest will commence on January 22, 2024, and entries will be accepted until February 17, 2024. We kindly request you to mark these dates on your calendars to ensure your participation within the designated timeframe.
To be eligible for participation, you must be an FFL student. We encourage you to compose a post on your personal social networking page, incorporating photographs and a narrative of your Tet experience. The length of your composition is at your discretion, allowing you the freedom to express your creativity effectively.
To demonstrate your language proficiency and creativity, we kindly request that you utilize the English language in your submissions. Additionally, we highly encourage reactions and comments on your post, fostering engagement and interaction among the readers.
To submit your entry, please publish your post publicly on any social media platform of your choice. Remember to include the hashtags #TetTalk and #FFLTetCelebration in your post. Once you have published your entry, kindly provide the link to the contest organizers for evaluation.

EVALUATION
1. Language Use: Your writing will be assessed based on your command of the English language, including vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structure.
2. Cultural Insights: We are looking for insightful exploration of Tet customs and traditions, demonstrating your understanding of their cultural significance and context.
3. Emotions: Your ability to effectively convey your feelings and experiences during Tet will be evaluated.
4. Interactions with the Audience: Your writing should aim to involve the audience through storytelling, inviting reactions and comments.
