The course is designed for the second-year English majored students in the fourth semester  aiming at enhancing the Japanese ability of students who have finished Japanese 1 course. This course fosters students’ ability to communicate in Japanese at elementary level. The course also provides the students with familiar topics related to house, time, hobby, etc.

The course is designed for the third-year English majored students in the fifth semester in order to continue enhancing the Japanese ability of students who have finished the courses of Japanese Language 1 and 2. This course also aims at fostering students’ ability to communicate in Japanese at elementary level. In addition, the course provides the students with familiar topics related to famous places, shopping, travel and so on.

Listening-Speaking 2 is designed to aid English majors of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education to progress toward intermediate level of listening and speaking skills (level B1). The meaningful activities, such as presentation, simulation, debate, research, and public announcement create more opportunities for students to practice speaking skills as well as to be more creative. Moreover, academic skills like deduction, summary, note-taking and doing test are applied to help students familiarized with strategies in examinations.

Listening-Speaking 5 is designed for English majored students at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, who are in the first semester of their third year, to achieve the upper-intermediate to advanced level of English listening and speaking skills, or level B2+ in the CEFR accordingly.

This course is designed to help English majors at HCMUTE progress their listening and speaking skill to the upper-intermediate level (equivalent to B1+ - CEFR). It provides students with opportunities to enhance their academic oral communication skills, such as listening and responding to the authentic broadcasts, short lectures, and long conversations, and taking good notes.  They then discuss or debate the issues mentioned in the listening tasks. Besides, an introduction to public speaking is included, with a focus on speaking to inform, which helps develop students’ confidence in delivering effective informative speech.
