On the morning of Tuesday, December 10, 2024, the Language Skills Department held a professional development workshop for lecturers on the topic "Enhancing the Assessment of Speaking Skills." The workshop took place from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM with active participation of many faculty members.
The workshop aimed to introduce rubrics for assessing students' speaking skills, ensuring objectivity, accuracy, and reliability in the grading process. Lecturers also had the opportunity to practice grading sample exams using the evaluation criteria, gaining valuable hands-on experience and standardizing their grading methods.
The workshop was led by experienced instructors, including Ms. Hien Trang, Ms. Khanh Phuong, and Mr. Quang Binh. Their detailed presentations provided valuable insights and sparked engaging discussions among attendees.
Building on the success of this workshop, the Language Skills Department plans to continue offering meaningful professional development activities to further enhance teaching quality and faculty training.
