Authentic reading and listening passages from a wide variety of sources, and a large range of topics, e.g. basic electric electricity, electric circuits, electric motors, electronics in the home, data transmission, and many more will not only enlarge students’ knowledge of electrics and electronics but increase their technical terms as well. The emphasis of the course is on learning how to read technical texts dealing with electrical and electronic engineering and to read and describe diagrams, graphs, electrical and electronic values of components, etc. The course fosters students’ capability of independence in employing the available sources recommended to develop their technical English and working in technical English fields.
