Overview
This course is designed for second-year English-majored students in order to provide them with fundamental knowledge of cultures in general and Vietnamese culture in particular, especially the unique features that help our culture distinguish itself from the one of East-Southern Asian regions and of the world. After completing this course, students can understand the basic characteristics of traditional and modern Vietnamese cultures. They can also self-navigate in the world of multi-dimensional information as well as in the age of globalization progressively influencing various fields of human life, including their cultures. Therefore, students would be able to adapt themselves to other cultures on the basis of integrationwithout dissolution. In addition, this course also helps students formulate active learning skills such as researching, public speaking and teamwork.
