The following event provides students with necessary information regarding the internship module in the coming semester. The target audience: K16 undergraduates in Translation and Interpretation major and those concerned are all invited.

Teaching practice is one of the most important components of the teacher training program since it provides an opportunity for student teachers to put their theoretical knowledge into practice and facilitate the transition from teacher-student to the teacher. At the same time, the teaching practice assignment gives the teachers training institutions an opportunity to evaluate the students teaching capabilities. For years, students of Faculty of Foreign languages, University of Technology and Education has practised their teaching in their own university.

Abstract

Mentoring is always one of the most important aspect of teacher education. This issue is also our great concern as part of our EFL teachers training program. It was our great pleasure to welcome Dr. Hoa Nguyen, a TESOL lecturer from School of Education, University of New South Wales, Australia to our faculty on February 20th 2017. Dr Hoa Nguyen was talking about different peer mentoring models in teacher education and teacher professional development. She also shared her expertise and experience gained from both contexts of Vietnam and Australia.
