The U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and the Regional English Language Office (RELO) under the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam have invited Dr. Tiên V.T. Nguyen , one of the representatives for university lecturers from the South of Vietnam, to attend the Regional ELT Forum 2025.
Under the theme Transforming English Language Teaching: Innovation, Alignment, and Future, the Forum gathered 100 participants, including members of Ministries of Education, institutional leaders, lecturers, researchers, and community representatives from Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. The Forum provided an opportunity to share experiences on curriculum reform preparing for the regional and global workforce, the alignment of curriculum, teaching and testing, and the application of AI in English teaching.

Before this event, Mr. David Fay, Director of the Regional English Office, U.S. Embassy, visited HCMUTE at the invitation of Dr. Tín T. Dang on 15 Agust 2025. On behalf of HCMUTE, Assoc. Dang, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, and the faculty lecturers welcomed the distinguished guests and discussed the potential opportunities for future collaboration.

The invitation to the Regional ELT Forum 2025 reflects the Faculty of Foreign Languages’ active role in regional initiatives, as well as the commitment to curriculum revision and international collaboration to produce qualified graduates for Vietnam.
