ASTRO SAIGON Co., Ltd. awards "Scholarship for Disadvantaged Students" to support students with high academic achievement and financial hardships. Scholarship value: VND 96,000,000 for 16 slots (VND 6,000,000 per student in 12 months), divided into VND 500,000 per month for 12 months. 
The Admissions and Student Affairs Office would like to inform the Faculties/ Centres about the scholarship selection process as follows:
1. Scholarship recipients
- Full-time students

The Academic Affairs Office will allow students to withdraw their enrolled courses on https://online.hcmute.edu.vn/.
The time for course withdrawal starts from 9:00 November 16, 2020 to 7:30 November 23, 2020 (students still have to pay tuition fee for the withdrawn courses).
Instructions:
✓ Students log in to https://online.hcmute.edu.vn/ (please refer to the attached instruction file).
✓ Course units which were withdrawn by students shall be marked as “RT” by the Academic Affairs Office. 

The university allows lecturers to hire teaching assistants (TAs) to help with their teaching. The following are the regulations on TAs.
For TA applicants who are in their second, third or fourth-year, yearly GPA must be at least 6.5, and the average score of the course in which the applicant will act as a TA must be 7.5 or higher.
TA applicant must have certificate of completion of the TA training course at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education 
Applications must include:
1.    TA application form (M1)
2.    Academic transcript

 

In addition to the 41renewed scholarships, the Vietnam Health, Education & Literature Projects (VNHelp) organization has funded 9 Nguyen Truong To scholarship  to first-year students (2020 intake) with high academic performance but low financial background. Each scholarship holder will receive $250 per year. Scholarship holders can continue to be considered for next year provided that they are able to maintain their academic performance.
