Overview

The course aims at helping students majoring in Technical Translation & Interpretation to practice text translation, Vietnamese to English and vice versa. Through the course, learners are able to improve their text analysis capacity, consolidate and sharpen their English grammar and vocabulary, significantly apply/ practically use and develop their knowledge of wide ranges of technical translation fields such as Environment Technology, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Regarding course accomplishment, learners are well-equipped with translation’s radical issues, have ability to translate texts of various technical fields, effectively exploit dictionaries, and express enthusiasm for Translation art.

List basic terms used in technical texts including Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Environment Technology.

Present Translation techniques of technical texts ranging Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Environment Technology.

Translate general specialized materials through significantly combining reading skills and knowledge of technical terms.

Collect, analyze and select relevant terms from offline and online dictionaries for effective use in technical translation process
