Overview
The course equips students with translation skills for technical materials on Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Environment Technology. These skills are achieved through intensive translation assignments of terminology, structures, and texts. Students can apply these skills and knowledge in their prospective careers and find job opportunities in international companies.

Translate basic technical texts by applying reading skills and knowledge of terminology. Collect, analyze and select relevant terms from offline and online dictionaries for effective usage in the translation process. Build up a positive attitude towards technical translation during the learning process: actively and independently use dictionaries, select relevant meanings, and refer to reliable and appropriate online resources. |

Discuss, and divide the workload among group members so as to complete successfully a translation project. Discuss and present individual opinions, comments in front of classmates. |

Become aware of the influence of translation on other fields in reality. Respect different corporate cultures. Design an effective procedure for translation, editing, proofreading as well as methods for evaluating a translation product. Apply new technologies in the translation process. |
