A delegation from Faculty of Foreign Languages (FFL), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE), embarked on a productive visit to CamEd Business School (CamEd) in Cambodia on July 10, 2023. The visit is part of FFL global outreach activities, exploring potential areas for collaboration with international institutions in Cambodia.
CamEd Business School, based in the bustling capital city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia, is a higher education institution popularly known for its specialization in accounting and finance. CamEd holds its quality recognition by the globally esteemed Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) from the United Kingdom. CamEd has been designed since 2000 with the vision of fulfilling the evolving demands for proficient graduates who adhere to international standards.
During the visit, the delegation from FFL engaged in an open and fruitful discussion with Dr. Uttara Sok, the Vice President, as well as other esteemed associates responsible for International Relations and Student Services at CamEd.
We have identified some key areas of interest, including training collaborations, student exchanges, credit transfer, and internship programs for both institutions. As a result of these discussions, two exciting opportunities were created for students majoring in Business English of FFL such as:
- Enjoying a semester or so in CamEd as an exchange student and using the credits for the programs in FFL. Exchange students at CamEd also receive tuition fee exemption during their exchange together with other supports.
- Conducting internship in a company or organization in Cambodia with the support of CamEd. This offers FFL students valuable experience in an international business setting. Students can immerse themselves in the Khmer culture and gain better understanding of doing business in South East Asia.
It is expected that many FFL students would maximize this opportunity, going out of their comfort zone and being exposed to the diversity of business in other neighboring countries, for their advancement in the international labor market. They should also be ready to welcome students from CamEd to diversify their learning experience.
