LTLT 2019 primarily focuses on autonomy and motivation, the two prominently important attributes of language learners in the interconnected world. Learner autonomy can enable students to control their learning processes for better learning quality, and motivation can remarkably empower students' learning processes. In the context of technology-supported dominance which promotes demands for instant responsiveness, learners are always connected and multitask taking. They often involve in different spaces at the same time even when they are physically resided in the same place. Their life engagement tends to travel among spaces or communities of interests. Consequently, they can be easily distracted and driven away from learning activities particularly as learning is conventionally uncomfortable. This urges teachers to develop and maintain students' capacity of learner autonomy and their learning motivation. The conference of this year is expected to document creative practices and insightful perspectives of teachers and students in different contexts for the sustainable development of quality learning. Main sub-themes of the conference include but are not limited to:

1. Learner autonomy, individual learning, and collaborative learning
2. Learning motivation, success, and preferences
3. Language development and learning opportunities
4. Learning attitudes and identity
5. Learning behaviors in inter-independent learning space
6. Language and culture in learning communities
7. Material presentation and development in globalised context
8. Assessment and learning achievement in constructivism
9. Teaching practices in the blended learning mode
10. English medium instructions for knowledge acquisition and development
11. Technology enhanced language teaching and learning
12. Content and language integrated learning
13. Professional development practices for language teachers
14. Community-based approach for sustainable development

LTLT 2019 is expected to bring together experts, researchers, lecturers, teachers, and students in the area of Linguistics and Language Teaching from different teaching and learning contexts for better understandings of developments in their expertise. Critical discussions, empirical research, and innovative practices in the interconnected world of language learning and teaching from the conference would be able to facilitate our professional development progress and improve our services to the community. We are looking forward to welcoming you at LTLT 2019!
